Why Everyone Should Use a Microfiber Towel On Their Hair
Updated: Apr 18
If you don’t have curly hair (or even if you do) you may not have heard about the benefits of using a microfiber towel on your hair. No biggie, I’m going to break it down for you.
Microfiber is very popular in the curly community for reasons that truly benefit everybody. Most people use terry cloth towels to dry their hair which are the regular type of towel your hand towels and bath towels are.
Switching up your towel routine may not seem like it matters much, but seriously, microfiber is totally superior when it comes to your hair.
First of all, have you ever noticed the texture of terry cloth towels? It’s a little rough and has a bunch of tiny little loops of cotton. Microfiber is ultra soft and does not have the same texture that a terry cloth towel does. Because of this, microfiber is gentler on your hair and doesn’t cause as much frizz… and curly girls aren’t the only ones with frizz, amiright?
Another benefit of microfiber is it dries your hair faster than a terry cloth towel. You know how you wrap your hair up with a regular towel and you pull it out thirty minutes later and it’s still pretty wet? Not so with a microfiber towel.
Which brings me to my next point… Because it dries your hair faster, you need less heat to get it completely dry. We all know that using high heat often is no good for our locks but it’s always seemed necessary, at least to get it dry. Not anymore, thanks to the wonderful concept of using microfiber for our hair.
Needless to say, the microfiber towel is a game changer for your hair routine. We are always looking for the best ways to take care of our hair and getting a microfiber towel should be your next step in transforming your hair routine to make your daily styling easier and more effective and efficient.
Cheers my dear,
